STATE CHAMPIONSHIP BRACKETS: SINGLES | DOUBLES
SAN FRANCISCO – The state's top badminton competition is heading to the Bay as City College of San Francisco hosts the 2025 3C2A State Championships on May 8-10. The three-day event gets underway on Thursday with the team championship final with singles and doubles tournament matches being played on Friday and Saturday.
Ticket prices for the 3C2A postseason event at the CCSF Wellness Center Gym are $12 for general admission and $8 for all identified students, faculty, staff, senior citizens age 60 and over, and children under 12 years old.
Action begins on Thursday at 5 p.m. when Coast Conference champion De Anza College takes on South Coast Conference winner Pasadena City College in the 3C2A team state championship final.
State championship singles and doubles matches take over starting at noon on Friday. 18 doubles squads and 24 individuals will compete to capture state titles. State championship finals are set for Saturday at noon (singles) and 12:30 pm (doubles).
CCSF will be represented by three singles and three doubles squads on their home court at the state championships.
In singles, the Rams' Jacqueline Leong (North No. 4), Jessica Ho (North No. 9), and Vicky Guan (North No. 12) will all compete for a chance at a state title.
In doubles, the duo of Leong/Guan is the North's No. 5 seed while Ho/Maria Yau Zhang (North No. 7), and Eunice Wu/Zoe Tao (North No. 9) round out CCSF's competitors.
Last season, Leong reached the state championship singles final but lost to CCSF teammate Kelly Yau Barria to end with a state runner up finish. Yau Barria and Leong teamed up in doubles and advanced to the state championship semifinals.
Yau Barria and Leong helped lead the Rams to the 2024 team state championship as they closed out an undefeated season with a victory over Pasadena City College in the team title match.
The Rams closed out the 2025 regular season with a 6-3 overall record.
