FREMONT – Ruby Santos posted 8 kills and 13 assists to help lead Ohlone College to an impressive 25-9, 25-6, 25-12 Coast Conference sweep of visiting Skyline College on Friday night.
The Renegades were efficient in their attack, hitting .412 as a team in the contest. Santos (.889) totaled just 9 attempts on her way to the 8 kills with no errors. Hannah Issenmann connected for kills on all 7 of her attempts to hit a perfect 1.000 while Rilee Nobori added 7 kills on a .583 night.

The victory improved the Renegades to 19-4 overall and 5-1 in the Coast Conference South Division standings. The win sets up a big match on Wednesday (Oct. 30) at home against No. 18 state-ranked College of San Mateo.
Ohlone, San Mateo, as well as West Valley College, are all currently tied for first place in the Coast South at 5-1. The Renegades stole a huge five-set win at CSM in their first round of conference play earlier this month. The Bulldogs will be looking for revenge while the Renegades will look to move a step closer to a Coast Conference championship.
Wednesday's match is set to begin at 6:30 p.m.
