The Bulldogs recently wrapped up another impressive regular season under head coach Nicole Quigley-Borg. San Mateo ended tied for first place with a 12-2 Coast Conference record and enters the postseason with a 35-3 overall record. The 35 wins are the fourth most in the state this season.
2025 marks the 18th straight season the Bulldogs have reached the playoffs under Quigley-Borg.
No. 15 Feather River put together a solid season, finishing in second place in the Golden Valley Conference at 13-6. The Golden Eagles bring a 22-12 overall record into this weekend's playoff series.
San Mateo and Feather River have already met once this season. On Feb. 8, the Bulldogs cruised to a 10-2, six-inning victory at home.
The winner of the opening series will advance to the Super Regionals on May 9-11. The Bulldogs are looking to return to the state championships for the 11th straight season. The 3C2A State Championships are scheduled for May 15-18 at West Valley College (Saratoga) and San Jose City College.
