No. 24 Rams move to 2-0 in conference with win at Skyline

SAN BRUNO – Madison Thomas secured a double-double with 21 points and 14 rebounds to help lead No. 24 state-ranked City College of San Francisco to a 71-59 Coast Conference North Division win at Skyline College on Wednesday.

The Rams won their third straight to improve to 10-8 overall. CCSF is unbeaten in Coast North play at 2-0.

The Rams trailed early in the contest and were down 23-20 after the first quarter. CCSF eventually tied the game up at 47-47 after three quarters and doubled up Skyline 24-12 over the final 10 minutes to earn the victory.

Alessandra Nelson was also solid in the win, adding 19 points. Stephanie Salazar posted a double-double off the bench with 11 points and 13 rebounds while Jayden Borgna totaled 7 points, 7 rebounds, 5 steals, and 4 assists.

CCSSF will look to extend its winning streak on Friday (Jan. 17) when the Rams host Ohlone College at 5 p.m. in Coast Conference North Division game.
