The seven freshman that make up the men's water polo team wanted to send Ilya Krasnyy, their one and only sophomore out in style as he was playing one final time at The Nest. Against the College of San Mateo, that is exactly what the Hawks did coming away with an 11-6 win.

The Hawks got out to an early 4-0 lead in the first period, with 3 different Hawks getting in on the scoring.  In the second, both teams would score a pair of goals pushing the halftime lead to 6-2 in favor of the home team. The third period saw the more goals as the Bulldogs tried to make a comeback with 3, but the Hawks would answer back with 4 goals of their own.

Vincent Vandersall led the way offensively with 6 goals and 1 assist. Caleb Boggan and Jesse Trinta each had a pair, with Cameron Emmons getting a goal as well. In the net for the last time at home, Krasnyy had 13 saves.

The Hawks will play a make up match against Ohlone today before finishing out the regular season with a pair of matches with Santa Rosa and host Diablo Valley in the NorCal Crossovers on Friday.  In a match earlier in the season, the Hawks defeated Santa Rosa 18-6.  The schedule maker has the Hawks playing DVC at 4:45 pm and Santa Rosa at 7:15.
