Softball Wraps Up Regular Season with Non-Conference Matchup Against Monterey Peninsula College

Monterey - The Folsom Lake College Falcons concluded their regular season on Tuesday with a non-conference matchup against the Monterey Peninsula College Lobos in Monterey. In a closely contested game, the Lobos came out on top with a 9-7 victory.

The Falcons' offense was strong throughout the game, highlighted by Kamora Baptiste's impressive performance. Baptiste hit two home runs, driving in two runs and scoring two herself. Clare Yanez also contributed with two hits and an RBI, while Donna Jo Dalton and Hannah Bunch each added an RBI.

Aila Lyden started on the mound for the Falcons, pitching six innings and allowing eight runs (seven earned) on 12 hits. Despite the tough outing, Lyden managed to strike out three batters. Haylee Garrison came in for relief but struggled, giving up one run on one hit without recording an out.

The game concluded Folsom Lake's regular season with an overall record of 14-25 and a Big 8 Conference record of 9-15. The Falcons will await the selection of the postseason field with the hope of earning an at-large bid to the 3C2A State Championship.
